Hello! I’m Jess — the artist behind Petal & Lark Watercolor Co. I create watercolor art inspired by nature, with a style heavily influenced by mosaics and stained glass. My work focuses on shape, color, and texture, with the goal of creating pieces that feel fresh, playful, and timeless.

In my work, you’ll also see the places that have shaped me — growing up by the beach in Cape May, New Jersey, taking yearly trips out west, and spending time living overseas in Switzerland.

The name Petal & Lark reflects the heart of my work, highlighting two of my primary subjects: botanicals and animals. I also love that lark carries a secondary meaning — a playful adventure — which perfectly captures how I approach both art and creativity.

I hold a BA in Art Education and currently live in Maryland with my husband and kids, where I continue to paint, teach, and find inspiration in everyday moments.
